PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us, contact us, or any of our employees, or otherwise use our services through our website, related sites and services.
For the purposes of this privacy policy ‘we’ may refer to Furthrows, Furthrows.com, Mister C (group holder of our websites and e-commerce activities)
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including any marketplaces where our products may be directly linked or offered for sale.
The information we collect is as follows:-
To fulfil your order, it is necessary for you to provide us with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address both for invoice/payment purposes and delivery, contact telephone numbers and the details of the product/s that you’re ordering. We do not have access, or receive, any details relating to your bank, credit/debit card details, Paypal account, etc., when ordering online, and will NEVER request this information other than if you contact us directly to process a payment on your behalf. You may also choose to provide us with additional information (for a custom order as an example), if you contact us directly.
How we use your information and why we need it.
We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
- as needed to provide our services, such as when we use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
- when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, to allow us to contact you directly.
- if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
- as necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving our services. We use your information to provide the services you requested and in our legitimate interest to improve our services; and 2) Compliance with any nominated carriers, or partner in pursuit of fulfilling your order/s, Policy and Terms of Use.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about our customers is important to our business. Sometimes it is essential to share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
- Service providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to our shop and websites, such as delivery companies and delivery booking agents. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
- Inter-business information transfer – As we operate a number of domains/websites which all use the same administration system we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
- Compliance with laws - We may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce our agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our customers, or others.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website sends to your browser. Our site does use cookies, but these cookies only store information to make your browsing and purchasing experience easier. If cookies are not enabled on your computer, you will be limited to browsing only on the site.
Some of the data obtained by the cookies is used to provide visitor statistics to Google Analytics; enabling us to identify the best products, services and marketplaces for our items.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, and in compliance with government law pertaining to the retention of transaction (sales) details for tax purposes. We generally keep your basic data for the following time period: 7 years.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in other countries and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If it is necessary to transfer information about you outside of the EU, it would be to third-party entities such as carriers/delivery companies for the purpose of delivery.

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. We describe these rights below:
- You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the contact information below.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have the right to change, restrict our use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where we are required to store data for legal reasons) We will generally delete your personal information upon request.
- You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
Please note:- We will NEVER sell or exchange or offer any of your information to other organisations, businesses or individuals unless forced to by law.
